A wireless remote unit performs SPS acquisition interleaved with receiving paging information over a wireless slotted paging channel and receiving data packets over a wireless data communication system. The remote unit tunes to a pilot channel, synchronizes to an internal clock of the wireless remote unit with a pilot signal transmitted over the pilot channel; and starts a search for SPS satellites after completing synchronization with the internal clock.

Une unité distante sans fil effectue une acquisition de satellites de système de localisation par satellite entrelacée avec une information de recherche sur un canal de recherche à créneaux et la réception de paquets de données sur un système de communication de données sans fil. L'unité distante s'accorde sur une voie pilote, se synchronise avec un horloge interne de l'unité distante sans fil avec un signal pilote transmis sur la voie pilote ; et démarre une recherche pour des satellites de système de localisation par satellite après avoir complété la synchronisation avec l'horloge interne.
