An apparatus and method for wrapping a palletized load are provided. The apparatus preferably includes a film dispenser (102) for dispensing a film web, at least one guide rollers (132) configured to engage the width of the film web, and at least one roping element (134). The at least one roping element may be a cable rolling roper configured to roll a portion of the film web into a rolled cable of film. The apparatus may also include means for providing relative rotation between the load and the dispenser to wrap a roped portion of the film web around a base of the load/top portion of a pallet supporting the load.
Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un appareil permettant d'envelopper une charge sur palette. Cet appareil comprend de préférence un distributeur de film (102) distribuant une bande de film, au moins un rouleau de guidage (132) conçu pour venir en prise avec la portion de la bande de film utilisée, et au moins un élément d'attache (134). L'élément d'attache peut être constitué par une attache à enroulement de corde conçue pour enrouler une partie de la bande de film de façon à former une corde de film enroulé. Cet appareil peut également comporter un moyen imprimant un mouvement de rotation relatif entre la charge et le distributeur, de façon à envelopper dans une partie attachée de la bande de film une base de la charge ou une partie supérieure de la palette supportant la charge.
