Disclosed is a method for securing shellfish to a culture rope, comprising the steps of preparing binder pins each having an elongated shaft portion of an equal diameter and a pointed end portion integral with the shaft portion; using one of the binder pins and inserting the pointed end portion into a pierced hole of an ear end portion of shellfish to thereby bind shellfish to a culture rope; and squeezing opposite end portions of the binder pin to form stoppers that prevents dropout of the shellfish from the binder pin. The binder pin preferably has a diameter smaller than but at least equal to or larger than 90% of a diameter of the pierced hole. Apparatus for carrying out the method is also disclosed, which comprising a piercing unit, a pin-inserting unit and pin-squeezing unit.

Méthode pour fixer des coquillages à un dispositif servant à l'élevage des coquillages. La méthode comporte les étapes suivantes : préparer des attaches constituées d'une tige allongée de diamètre constant, dont l'extrémité, qui fait partie intégrante de la tige, est pointue; insérer les attaches et en insérer l'extrémité pointue dans la partie arrière des coquillages pour relier lesdits coquillages au dispositif destiné à l'élevage des coquillages; presser les extrémités des attaches de manière à empêcher les coquillages de tomber des attaches. Les attaches sont d'un diamètre de préférence plus petit mais au moins égal ou supérieur à 90 % du diamètre du trou pratiqué. L'invention a également trait à l'utilisation de cette méthode, ce qui comporte l'utilisation d'un dispositif de perçage, d'un dispositif permettant d'insérer les attaches et d'un dispositif pour pincer les attaches.
