A method and apparatus for determining a pickup location for an item selected in an online transaction based on location information or data. The method comprises obtaining location data for the mobile communication device and determining availability of the selected item at one or more locations based on proximity to the location. According to an embodiment, one of the locations with item availability is selected and the online transaction is completed.

La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant de déterminer le point d'enlèvement d'un article sélectionné dans une transaction en ligne sur la base d'information ou de données de localisation. Le procédé consiste à se procurer auprès du dispositif de communication mobile des données de localisation, et à déterminer la disponibilité de l'article choisi à l'un au moins des points d'enlèvement sur la base de la proximité par rapport au point d'enlèvement. Selon l'un des modes de réalisation, on commence par sélectionner l'un des points d'enlèvement où l'article est disponible, puis on finalise la transaction en ligne.
