A method for priority discrimination between a plurality of remote stations, the stations having varying characteristics related to the priority and including the steps of first transmitting a call to a plurality of the remote stations; calculating, at each of the stations, of a priority according to a predetermined protocol for the respective station; transmitting, by the stations, of a signal at a predetermined time and frequency, the time and frequency being indicative of the calculated priority, wherein more than one station may transmit at the same time and frequency.
