An enclosure which supports a standard receptacle for receiving a standard plug and a handle which can be positioned to a first position or a second position is provided. The handle, when in the first position, blocks the removal or insertion of the plug into the receptacle. In the first position, the receptacle can be selectively connected by a user to a source of power. When the handle is in the second position, the plug can be removed or inserted into the receptacle and the receptacle is prevented from being connected to the source of power. The apparatus includes a receptacle, a switch for turning power to the receptacle on or off, a member coupled to the housing and having a first position which prevents the plug from being inserted into or removed from the receptacle and a second position which allows the plug to be inserted into or removed from the receptacle, and a connector coupled to the member and to the switch to enable the switch to connect the receptacle to a source of power when the member is in the first position. The apparatus also includes a housing for containing the receptacle and mounting lugs for mounting the apparatus.
Il s'agit d'un boîtier qui supporte une prise de courant standard pour recevoir une fiche d'alimentation électrique standard, et d'une poignée pouvant être placée selon une première ou seconde positions. La poignée, sur la première position, empêche le retrait de la fiche de la prise de courant ou son insertion dans la prise. Sur la première position, la prise peut être raccordée de manière ponctuelle par un utilisateur à une source d'alimentation. Lorsque la poignée est sur la seconde position, la fiche peut être retirée de la prise ou y être insérée, et la prise ne peut pas être raccordée à la source d'alimentation. Le dispositif comprend une prise de courant, un interrupteur pour alimenter la prise ou en couper l'alimentation, un élément raccordé au boîtier et présentant une première position qui empêche la fiche d'être insérée dans la prise ou de l'en retirer, et une seconde position qui permet d'insérer la fiche dans la prise ou de l'en retirer. Ce dispositif comprend aussi un connecteur accouplé à l'élément et à l'interrupteur, pour permettre à l'interrupteur de raccorder la prise à une source d'alimentation, lorsque l'élément est sur la première position. Le dispositif comprend également un boîtier pour contenir la prise et les pattes d'installation du dispositif.
