A passive transponder (104) including an integrated sensor (132) is disclosed. The transponder receives an interrogation signal from a scanner (100), and is operable to transmit identification information and body characteristic information to a scanner. The scanner is operable to receive the identification and body characteristic information and display (120) and/or store the information. The sensor (140) is integrated into the transponder. If temperature is to be sensed, the transponder determines the temperature of the host using the temperature dependent characteristics of the P-N junction of the integrated circuit.
L'invention porte sur un transpondeur (104) équipé d'un détecteur intégré (132). Ce transpondeur reçoit un signal d'interrogation depuis un scanner (100), et fonctionne de manière à transmettre des informations d'identification et des informations de caractéristiques corporelles à un scanner. Le scanner fonctionne de manière à recevoir les informations d'identification et de caractéristiques corporelles et à afficher (120) et/ou stocker les informations. Le détecteur (140) est intégré dans le transpondeur. Si la température doit être détectée, le transpondeur détermine alors la température de l'hôte au moyen des caractéristiques qui dépendent de la température de la jonction P-N du circuit intégré.
