A method and apparatus for separation of a fluid into components, includes rotating the fluid in a multi-chambered container (100) to accomplish a centrifuging operation. The multi-chambered container may have plural chambers (110, 120, 130, 140) connected in series by necks (115, 125, 135). An apparatus for rotating the container may include a holder for supporting the container during rotation, and a centrifuge for rotating the container and the holder. In addition, the apparatus for rotating the container may include clamping devices for closing off the necks and detectors (150, 160, 170) mounted adjacent the necks for detecting movement of material through the necks.
Procédé et appareil de séparation d'un fluide en différents éléments consistant à faire tourner le fluide dans un récipient (100) à chambres multiples pour réaliser un centrifugeage. Le récipient à chambres multiples peut être constitué de plusieurs chambres (110, 120, 130, 140) reliées en série par des cols (115, 125, 135). L'appareil assurant la rotation du récipient peut comporter un support maintenant le récipient durant la rotation, et une centrifugeuse pour assurer la rotation du récipient et du support. De plus, l'appareil assurant la rotation du récipient peut comporter des dispositifs de serrage permettant de fermer les cols et des détecteurs (150, 160, 170) permettant de déceler le passage de la matière par les cols.
