A method and device for separating particles from a liquid having particles therein, using a filter layer (18) disposed on a frame (29), the filter layer (18) sized to permit the liquid to flow through pores, while retaining a substantial portion of the particles on the filter layer (18), with an absorbent layer (24) contacting the back of the filter layer (18) and also disposed on frame (29) to facilitate liquid movement away from the particles.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour séparer des particules d'un liquide renfermant des particules, au moyen d'une couche filtrante (18) disposée sur un cadre (29), ladite couche filtrante (18) étant dimensionnée pour permettre l'écoulement du liquide à travers des pores, tout en retenant une partie substantielle des particules sur ladite couche filtrante (18), une couche absorbante (24) étant en contact avec l'arrière de la couche filtrante (18) et également disposée sur un cadre (29) afin de faciliter l'éloignement du liquide des particules.
