INVENTOR: JIRI MASTNER INVENTION: METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SIGNAL TRANSMISSION ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE By configuring conventional delta modulation with a neutral zone there is obtained improved trans- mission of the modulating input signal. Additionally, the neutral zone prevents rapid running away of the re- constructed integrated output signal in the event of faulty dropout of signal transmission. Furthermore, periodic resetting of the receiver side integrator during null thorughpass or crossover of the input signal, possibly artificially produced, enables maintaining a small drift error between the input signal and the out- put signal.
