A method of and an apparatus are provided for signaling a transmission code set in data broadcasting. A client using the transmission code set signaling method includes a demultiplexer demultiplexing a packetized elementary stream (PES) packet corresponding to a program selected by a user from the broadcasting stream received by the system interface, an image decoder decoding the demultiplexed PES for images, a sound decoder decoding the demultiplexed PES for sound, and a CPU fetching information about a transmission code set of a character string used in an object carousel message from the demultiplexed message PES and decoding the character string used in the object carousel message based on the fetched information about the transmission code set.
L'invention porte sur un procédé et un appareil de signalisation d'un jeu de codes de transmission au cours d'une diffusion de données. Le procédé de signalisation du jeu de codes de transmission consiste à utiliser un démultiplexeur servant à démultiplexer un flux élémentaire de paquets (PES) qui correspond à un programme sélectionné par un utilisateur depuis le flux de données diffusées par l'interface système, à utiliser un décodeur d'images servant à décoder le PES démultiplexé pour les images, à utiliser un décodeur de sons servant à décoder le PES démultiplexé pour le son, et à utiliser une unité centrale (UC) qui extrait des informations sur une chaîne de caractères d'un jeu de codes de transmission utilisé dans le message carousel objet à partir des informations extraites sur ledit jeu de codes de transmission.
