An apparatus and process is disclosed for spinning circumferential articles with constant length end surfaces. The article is first spun to define the circumferential surface, and a mandrel (16) is then introduced, whereby the mandrel has a shoulder (20) positionable adjacent to the end surfaces. The end surfaces, while supported by the mandrel, are further spun, and the material is flow into the shoulder, to define a constant and defined length to the article.

L'invention porte sur un procédé de repoussage d'articles circulaires à une longueur constante des extrémités de surface. L'article subit d'abord un premier repoussage définissant la surface circulaire, puis on introduit un mandrin (16), un épaulement (20) de ce mandrin pouvant être positionné au voisinage des extrémités de surface. Les extrémités de surface, tout en reposant sur le mandrin, subissent un complément de repoussage, et on procède alors au fluotournage du matériau, le faisant rentrer dans l'épaulement de façon à donner à l'article une longueur constante et définie.
