ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a highly reliable technique of splitting a broad roll of amorphous metal foil (herein- after referred to as original roll) fed from foil feeder reel into narrow ribbon tapes and taking up them on a plurality of take-up reels that effectively eliminates any meandering motion of the roll, controls the drive motors and collects trashy ribbon tapes.
