A method for stabilizing and optimizing angiogram cine runs. The method for stabilizing involves reducing abrupt motion from the last frame to the first frame by refining the choice of the estimates of first and last frame indices provided by the user and by performing image registration so that a feature of interest is nearly in the same position between the last and first frame. According to another aspect, a network accessible system for storing and playing back angiographic images and presenting patient information is provided. The most diagnostically relevant subset of frames are extracted from selected cine runs and made available over a wide area network (WAN) such as the Internet. The process of identifying a subset of frames encompassing a few cardiac cycles from the most relevant cine runs makes it possible for authorized users to view the images on a web page interface from remote locations like homes or offices using the Internet which otherwise suffers from bandwidth limitations that restricts the amount of data that can be transmitted within a reasonable delay.
La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de stabiliser et d'optimiser des ciné-angiogrammes. Le procédé de stabilisation comprend les étapes suivantes : réduction du mouvement brutal de la dernière image à la première image par affinage du choix des estimations des indices de première et dernière images fournis par l'utilisateur, et par enregistrement d'images de sorte qu'une caractéristique d'intérêt correspond approximativement à la même position entre la dernière et la première image. Un autre aspect de l'invention concerne un système de réseau accessible, destiné à l'enregistrement et à la lecture d'images d'angiographie et représentant les informations concernant un patient. Les sous-ensembles d'images les plus pertinents du point de vue du diagnostic sont extraits des ciné-angiogrammes sélectionnés et sont mis à disposition sur un réseau longue distance (WAN) tel qu'Internet. Le procédé d'identification d'un ensemble d'images incluant quelques cycles cardiaques des ciné-angiogrammes les plus pertinents donne la possibilité aux utilisateurs habilités de visualiser les images sur une interface de page web à partir d'endroits situés à distance tels que domiciles ou bureaux, grâce à Internet, ce qui permet d'éviter de subir des limitations de largeur de bande qui restreignent la quantité de données pouvant être transmises en un temps acceptable.
