Abstract A method for sterilizing a liquid consisting of dispersing it, ozonizing and agitating. After that the liquid being sterilized is stirred and simult- aneously irradiated with ultraviolet radiation. An apparatus for effecting that method compris- ing a pipeline (1), the input section (23 of which is provided with an injector (8), the middle sect- ion (4) is provided with sources (7) of ultravio- let radiation, and the outlet section (3) is provi- ded with a separtor (11).
