The invention relates to a method for supplying and maintaining structural facilities (20, 21, 22) on the sea (100). Owing to poor weather conditions, it is very often impossible to supply such structural facilities (20, 21, 22) with material, and to maintain them. The method according to the invention avoids these disadvantages in that in that such structural facilities (20, 21, 22) are accessed underwater from an underwater vehicle (9). An apparatus (1) which has a connecting channel (2) is used for carrying out the method. The free end (2A) of the connecting channel (2) is arranged in the water, and can be connected to an entry/exit tower (8) on an underwater vehicle (9). The second end (2B) of the connecting channel (2) is installed such that it opens into a region which is located above the water of a structural facility (20, 21, 22).
