A method of taking photographs to facilitate later management of the photographs involves creating a record associating a pre-defined computer readable code with indexing information and producing a succession of image files. The succession of image files may be produced by producing a reference image file representing a beginning of the succession, by causing subject image data representing a subject and code image data representing the respective pre-defined computer readable code to appear in image data of the reference image file and producing at least one standard image file representing a corresponding at least one pose of the subject and associating the at least one standard image file with the reference image file.
