ABSTRACT The invention is directed toward a method for terminating a plurality of insulated conductors in re- spective insulation-piercing contacts of an electrical connector. The method comprises the steps of supporting the connector with its contact portions extending in a vertical direction and suspending the insulated conductors in a spaced relationship from a point above the connector so that the conductors are positioned immediately adjacent and parallel to the respective contact portions. Each conductor is then cut to a predetermined length while suspended adjacent the connector and forced into a re- spective contact, The invention is also directed toward an apparatus for carrying out the above method,
