According to the invention, by using the electro-kinetic principle for a method for the cleaning of materials contaminated with heavy metals, and whereby use is made of an apparatus comprising two charge-selective ion-exchange membranes with different charges combined with an inner and an outer electrolyte solution chamber which are separated from the membranes which serve a blocking function, a surprisingly good degree of utilization is achieved, particularly in relation to the current consumption, and at the same time the precipitation of the heavy metals is so effective that they can be reused. There is hereby achieved a hitherto-unknown degree of profitableness compared with known methods of cleaning.
Selon l'invention, l'on fait appel à un procédé reposant sur l'effet électrocinétique pour purifier des matériaux contaminés avec des métaux lourds, procédé selon lequel on utilise un dispositif comprenant deux membranes d'échange d'ions à sélection de charge, différentes charges étant combinées avec une chambre intérieure à solution électrolytique et une chambre extérieure à solution électrolytique qui sont séparées des membranes qui assurent une fonction de blocage. Avec le procédé présenté, on atteint un degré de purification étonnamment élevé, en particulier par rapport à la consommation de courant, et, simultanément, la précipitation des métaux lourds est si efficace qu'ils peuvent être réutilisés. L'on obtient ainsi un degré de rentabilité jusqu'alors inconnu, si l'on compare avec les procédés de purification de l'état antérieur de la technique.
