A method and apparatus for providing information and distributing event tickets, the apparatus comprising, as an electronically integrated unit, a computer server/terminal and/or processor having an IP address unique from other similar server/terminals and/or processor, a debit/credit card reader/writer, a ticket printer/dispenser and Intranet communication means associated with the server/processor, the server/processor being arranged to communicate electronically with a central control server for the Intranet for sourcing information to be displayed at the server/processor, the server/processor programmed to accept and process credit card information from the credit card reader/writer and issue one or more tickets at the ticket printer/dispenser based on ticket availability provided through the Intranet to the server/processor.
