A method and apparatus (8) for folding material (10) releasably mounted on a flexible carrier (12), the apparatus (8) comprising a release station (14) at which material (10) introduced thereto is released from the carrier (12) and a folding station (16) at which released material (10) is urged to fold in a direction to cause the material (10) to fold onto and adhere to itself. The invention also provides printing methodologies and apparatus to provide printed images on the material (10) to be viewable when folded, as well as card blanks (10) for use in same.

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un appareil (8) permettant de plier un support d'impression monté de manière libérable sur un transporteur souple (12). Ledit appareil (8) comporte une station de séparation (14) au niveau de laquelle le support d'impression qui y a été introduit est séparé du transporteur (12) et une station de pliage (12) au niveau de laquelle le support séparé (10) est contraint de se plier sur lui-même et d'adhérer à lui-même. Cette invention se rapporte également à des procédés d'impression et à un appareil permettant d'obtenir sur un support d'impression (10) des images imprimées qui sont visibles lorsque ledit support d'impression est plié, ainsi qu'à des flans de cartes (10) utilisés dans un appareil du type décrit ci-dessus.
