The invention pertains to the apparatus and process for shaping and forming of thermal insulation materials (M) around tubes and pipes (T) in a continuous production process wherein the tube or pipe (T) and a long singular strip of insulating material (M) passes linearly with the tube or pipe (T) through a shaping die (12). The shaping die (12) forms the insulating material (M) around the circumference of the tube or pipe (T) without substantial compression and is captured by overlapping coils of helical wound tape (W), wire or like material.
La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé permettant de façonner et de former des isolants thermiques (M) autour des tuyaux et des conduites (T) lors d'un procédé de fabrication continu; le tuyau ou la conduite (T) ainsi qu'une longue bande plate d'un isolant (M) passant linéairement par rapport au tuyau ou à la conduite (T) à travers un guide de forme (12). Le guide de forme (12) forme l'isolant (M) autour du tuyau ou de la conduite (T) sans compression majeure, l'isolant étant saisi par les spirales superposées d'un ruban d'enroulement (w) hélicoïdal, d'un fil ou d'un autre matériau similaire.
