ABSTRACT METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF A SANDWICH WEB. In a method of producing a sandwich web, a sub- strate web is coated with films of adhesive on each surface in a first roller nip. The web is then combined with a first lining web in a second roller nip and then with a second lining web in a third roller nip in which all three webs are bonded. The direction of motion of each web is changed by the corresponding roller before entry into a roller nip and the web is continuously supported by roller surfaces until departure from the third roller nip. All rollers taking part in transporting the web are individually driven and are individually controll- able in order to regulate the tensions of the entering webs.
