Abstract Method and apparatus for the manufacture of coated lengths of synthetic resin having a hollow cross-section. The method comprises applying a web of coating material into an extruded length of synthetic resin having a hollow cross-section and passing the length of resin and web through a moulding channel in which the length of resin and web are pressed by gaseous pressure against the internal walls of the channel to effect adhesion between the web and the length of synthetic resin; the coated length of synthetic resin is then cooled to below the softening temperature of the resin. An apparatus for carrying out the process is also described.
