Method and apparatus for the power control system outer loop of a mobile communications systems in a cellular infrastructure that allows fulfilling a given Quality of Service (QoS) with the minimum power level necessary. This outer loop is in charge of setting the desired signal to interference target ratio SIR tgt that fulfils the required quality of service in a radioelectric environment characterised by stochastic models. The proposed method is based on the application of the Newton-Raphson iteration method on numerical approximations of the various outage probability (QoS) probability density functions in various propagation environments, so that having established this probability and dynamically estimated the second order moments characteristic of each statistic considered, the margin over the SIR median is obtained and thereby the SIR tgt corresponding to the aforementioned outage probability.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de liaison externe du système de contrôle de puissance d'un système de communication mobile, constituant une infrastructure cellulaire permettant de satisfaire une qualité de service (QoS) déterminée avec un niveau minimal de puissance nécessaire. Cette liaison externe est destinée à fixer la relation signal désiré-interférence cible SIRtgt satisfaisant la qualité de service requise dans un environnement radio-électrique caractérisé par des modèles stochastiques. Le procédé de l'invention est basé sur l'application de la méthode itérative de Newton-Raphson sur des approximations numériques des différentes fonctions de distribution de probabilité de coupe (QoS) dans différents environnements de propagation, de manière à obtenir, une fois fixée ladite probabilité et estimés de façon dynamique les moments statistiques de second ordre propres de chaque statistique considérée, la marge sur la moyenne de la SIR, et par conséquent la SIRtgt, correspondant à cette probabilité de coupe.
