A method for treating a moving surface, such as a rotating roller (11) or a moving belt (42), according to which method surface treatment elements (12), such as metallic brushes (12), are pressed against the surface to clean and smooth it. The brushes are cleaned at the edge of the surface. The brushes are connected to an endless chain (16) on which the brushes are moved in a transverse direction by a moving means (17). The apparatus may be mounted in conjunction with a roller or belt or connected to it via a doctor frame (31) or some other supporting structure (47).
L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'une surface en déplacement, telle qu'un cylindre entraînée en rotation (11) ou une bande en déplacement (42), procédé selon lequel des éléments de traitement de surface (12), par exemple des brosses métalliques (12), sont pressés contre ladite surface en vue de la nettoyer et de la rendre lisse. Les brosses sont connectées à une chaîne sans fin (16) sur laquelle les brosses sont déplacées dans le sens transversal par des moyens de déplacement (17). L'appareil peut être monté conjointement avec un cylindre ou une bande, ou connecté à ceux-ci via un cadre racloir (31) ou une autre structure d'appui (47).
