An apparatus and method for treating an undesired presence on an individual includes a CPU coupled to a laser control unit and a robotic arm control unit. A scanning area or volume is defined on the individual that includes the undesired presence. The CPU controls the robotic arm to move the laser and camera about the scanning area or volume while the camera scans individual portions of the scanning area or volume. The CPU receives this information from the camera and determines, based on the scanning, whether a particular portion includes part of the undesired presence. When the particular portion includes part of the undesired presence, the CPU actuates the laser. This process continues for all portions of the scanning area or volume. In an alternative embodiment, the CPU controls the robotic arm control unit to scan the entire area or volume and determines locations where there is an undesired presence. The CPU then again moves through the area or volume and actuates the laser at locations which will treat these undesired presences.
L'invention concerne un appareil et un procédé destinés à traiter une irrégularité indésirable sur la peau d'un individu. Cet appareil comprend une unité centrale couplée à une unité de commande laser et à une unité de commande de bras robotique. Une zone ou un volume de balayage comprenant cette irrégularité indésirable est définie sur la peau dudit individu. L'unité centrale commande le bras robotique de manière à déplacer le laser et la caméra autour de la zone ou du volume de balayage, la caméra balayant des parties individuelles de cette zone ou de ce volume de balayage. L'unité centrale reçoit les informations à partir de la caméra et détermine, sur la base de ce balayage, si une région particulière comprend une partie de cette irrégularité indésirable. Si cette région particulière comprend une partie de l'irrégularité indésirable, l'unité centrale actionne le laser. Ce processus continue pour toutes les régions de la zone ou du volume de balayage. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, ladite unité centrale commande l'unité de commande de bras robotique de manière à balayer la totalité de cette zone ou de ce volume, et détecte les emplacements où apparaît une irrégularité indésirable. Ainsi, l'unité centrale se déplace à nouveau à travers cette zone ou ce volume et actionne le laser au niveau de ces emplacements, ce qui permet de traiter lesdites irrégularités indésirables.
