A method and apparatus for treating an object with ozone by: introducing the object to be treated (F) and ozone into a sealed treatment chamber (3); and applying a negative pressure to said treatment chamber (3) to prevent ozone leaking from said treatment chamber into the atmosphere and to provide an indication of the condition of the seal. The object may be treated according to a Static mode, or a Flow mode.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil qui permettent de traiter des objets à l'ozone. Le procédé consiste à: introduire l'objet à traiter (F) et de l'ozone dans une chambre de traitement (3) étanche; exercer une pression négative sur ladite chambre de traitement (3) pour empêcher l'ozone de s'en échapper vers l'atmosphère, et pour s'assurer de l'état d'étanchéité. Ledit objet peut être traité selon le mode statique ou le mode de flux.
