A method and apparatus for establishing a cryptographic relationship between a first node and a second node in a communications network. The first node receives at least part of a cryptographic attribute of the second node, uses the received at least part of the cryptographic attribute to generate an identifier for the first node. The cryptographic attribute may a public key belonging to the second node, and the identifier may be a Cryptographically Generated IP address. The cryptographic relationship allows the second node to establish with a third node that it is entitled to act on behalf of the first node.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil pour l'établissement d'une relation cryptographique entre un premier nud et un deuxième nud d'un réseau de communication. Le premier nud reçoit au moins une partie d'un attribut cryptographique du deuxième nud, utilise la partie d'attribut cryptographique reçue pour générer un identifiant pour le premier nud. L'attribut cryptographique peut être une clé publique appartenant au deuxième nud, et l'identifiant peut être une adresse IP générée de façon cryptographique. La relation cryptographique permet au deuxième nud d'établir une communication avec un troisième nud qui est destiné à agir au nom du premier nud.
