Also described is a method of notifying a user of the receipt of e-mail by a mail centre, which e-mail is to be transmitted to the user via a first medium, the method comprising transmitting a notification message, indicating the receipt of e-mail by the mail centre, to the user via a second medium, different from the first medium. Corresponding apparatus, receiver/decoder and system are also described.

Egalement, procédé servant à informer un usager de la réception d'un courrier électronique par un centre de courrier électronique, ce courrier électronique devant être transmis à l'usager par l'intermédiaire d'un premier support, ce qui consiste à transmettre un message d'information indiquant la réception du courrier électronique par le centre de courrier électronique à l'usager par l'intermédiaire d'un deuxième support différent du premier support.
