A recycling method and apparatus that almost completely removes paints and pigments on the surf aces of empty aluminum cans to recover aluminum with very few impurities. Pressed blocks of aluminum cans are shredded into small aluminum pieces (a) by shredding means (1, 2, and 3), and foreign matter mixed in the aggregate of aluminum pieces obtained is removed. The aggregate of small aluminum pieces (a) free from foreign matter is agitated by a paint removing device (20) using a rotating body (36) that rotates at a high speed, in order to remove paints and pigments coated on the surfaces of the aluminum pieces (a) employing frictional force caused by the difference in speed as well as adhesion. The small aluminum pieces (a) free from paints and pigments are molded again into aluminum compacts (b) by a compression molding machine.
Procédé et appareil de recyclage d'aluminium contenant très peu d'impuretés, après élimination pratiquement totale de la peinture et des pigments de la surface d'une boîte d'aluminium utilisée. Des blocs comprimés de boîtes d'aluminium sont broyés et réduits en morceaux d'aluminium de faibles dimensions <u>a</u> par des moyens broyeurs (1, 2, 3) et les matières étrangères mélangées dans l'agrégat de morceaux d'aluminium broyé <u>a</u> sont éliminées. L'agrégat résultant composé de morceaux d'aluminium de faibles dimensions <u>a</u> est agité dans une unité d'élimination de peinture (20) utilisant un corps rotatif (36) qui est conçu pour tourner à grande vitesse afin d'éliminer la peinture et les pigments des surfaces des morceaux d'aluminium de faibles dimensions <u>a</u> par une force de friction et une force adhésive produites par la différence de vitesse. On transforme les morceaux d'aluminium de faibles dimensions <u>a</u>, dont on a éliminé la peinture et les pigments, en corps moulés en aluminium <u>b</u> à l'aide d'une machine de moulage par compression (40).
