An electrical connector (10) for connecting multiple conductor cable, ideally a flat flexible cable (12). The connector has base (16) for holding multiple contacts. The contacts (18) are positioned substantially parallel to each other and are located at least partially within the base. Each contact has at least one cutting edge (34), the edge being capable of removing insulation from flat flexible cable. An interlocable actuator (24) for pressing the cable is also provided.

L'invention concerne un connecteur électrique (10) pour connecter de multiples câbles conducteurs, de manière idéale, un câble flexible plat (12). Ce connecteur comporte une base (16) pour supporter de multiples contacts. Ces contacts (18) sont positionnés de manière sensiblement parallèle les uns aux autres et sont placés au moins partiellement dans la base. Chaque contact possède au moins un bord de coupe (34), ce bord pouvant retirer l'isolation du câble flexible plat.
