ABSTRACT "Method and apparatus for washing pulp" In a method for washing chemical pulp after a pretreatment by means of a washing liquid and with the aid of pressure action by the counterflow method in consecutive stages, the pretreated pulp being introduced between two belt-like screens or wires and transported between the latter until the final separation of the dry substance, the pulp is subjected to a repeated pressure and suction-action between the wires held tensioned.
