A method and apparatus for terminating a broadcast service in a mobile communication system supporting an HSBS. In the mobile communication system, a BS provides the broadcast service to at least one MS within the cell of the BS. To terminate the ongoing broadcast service, the MS generates a location registration message with type field set to a value indicating a broadcast service termination request when termination of the broadcast service is required, and transmits it to the BS. If the MS is the last one receiving the broadcast service from the BS, the BS terminates the broadcast service upon receipt of the location registration message.
Cette invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de mettre fin à un service de diffusion dans un système de communication mobile qui met en oeuvre un service de diffusion à grande vitesse (HSBS). Dans le système de communication mobile, une station de base (BS) fournit le service de diffusion à au moins une station mobile au sein de la cellule de la station de base. Pour mettre fin à un service de diffusion en cours, la station mobile génère un message d'enregistrement de position comprenant un champ réglé sur une valeur indiquant une demande de cessation de service de diffusion en cas de requête dans ce sens, et transmet ce message à la station de base. Si la station mobile est la dernière à recevoir le service de diffusion de la part de la station de base, cette dernière met fin audit service dès réception de message d'enregistrement de position.
