A method and apparatus for carrying out a malting process comprising means for efficiently turning over the grain mass in a bottom to top fashion by directing grain from adjacent to the bottom of the vessel to the centre of the bottom of the vessel from where it is elevated above the grain mass and redistributed back on top of the grain mass. The apparatus can be used for any stage of the malting process.
La présente invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de mener à bien un processus de maltage. On utilise à cet effet des moyens permettant effectivement de remuer la masse de grain du fond vers le dessus. En l'occurrence, on prend le grain à proximité du fond de la cuve et on le ramène vers le centre du fond de cuve d'où il remonte au-dessus de la masse de grain. De là, il est redistribué sur le dessus de la masse de grain. Cet appareil convient pour n'importe quelle phase du processus de maltage.
