An air impingement arrangement and method for compensating for the curling tendency of a paper or board web which is being treated. Air impingement is disposed in connection with a paper or board process or with its finishing process and extends across the width of the web (10) running in the vicinity thereof, forming a contact-free web treatment zone, in which process the web is dried in at least one dryer unit (3, 5, 7) that applies single-wire draw. In accordance with the invention, air impingement directed at the web (10) is produced by means of the air impingement arrangement (20) in the web treatment zone, said air impingement including, one following after the other, at least one hot blowing with air and at least one cold blowing with air. The invention also relates to a paper or board machine provided with this kind of air impingement arrangement.
Cette invention a trait à un dispositif à jet d'air ainsi qu'à la technique correspondante permettant de corriger la tendance à la torsion d'une bande de papier ou de carton en cours de traitement. Ce dispositif à jet d'air, qui est lié au processus de traitement du papier ou du carton ou au processus de finissage, est placé sur la largeur de la bande (10) se déplaçant à proximité. Cet agencement crée une zone de traitement de la bande exempte de contact, traitement au cours duquel la bande est mise à sécher dans au moins un séchoir (3, 5, 7) n'exerçant qu'un seul tirage de la toile. Dans le cadre de cette invention, le jet d'air dirigé sur la bande (10) est produit par un dispositif à jet d'air (20) dans la zone de traitement de la bande, laquelle opération de soufflage de jet d'air comporte, successivement, au moins un soufflage à l'air et au moins un soufflage à l'air froid. Cette invention a également trait à une machine à papier ou à carton équipée de ce dispositif à jet d'air.
