The invention relates to a method and arrangement for measuring the moisture content of a flow of wood chips (2), through which collimated gamma radiation is directed (4) attenuation of which in the flow of wood chips (2) is measured. The flow of wood chips (2) is shaped according to the invention by transporting it on a through-shaped conveyor (1) in such a way that the length of a ray can be determined. The moisture content can be calculated (8) on the basis of the proportion of gamma radiation passing through the flow of wood chips (2) and the flow's thickness, as well as on the basis of the previously determined air content of the flow of wood chips (2).
L'invention concerne un procédé et un mécanisme servant à mesurer la teneur en eau d'un flux de copeaux de bois (2), à travers lequel on dirige un rayonnement gamma collimaté (4), pour mesurer l'affaiblissement de ce dernier dans le flux de copeaux de bois (2). Le flux de copeaux de bois (2) selon l'invention est formé par transport sur un tapis transporteur à charge creuse (1) de telle manière que l'on puisse déterminer la longueur du rayon. On peut calculer la teneur en eau (8) à partir de la proportion de rayons gamma traversant le flux de copeaux de bois (2) et de l'épaisseur dudit flux et à partir de la teneur en air préalablement déterminée du flux de copeaux de bois (2).
