The present invention is related to a method and arrangement in a radio communication system (SYS1) for determining the presence of a mobile station (MS1) in a determined area (101). A first radio channel (DTC1) is allocated for communication of control information and user data information between the mobile station (MS1) and a first base station (BS1). The mobile station (MS1) transmits identity information (ID1) repeatedly on the first radio channel (DTC1). A detecting unit (HBS1) receives at least one occurrence of the transmitted identity (ID1) information. The mobile station (MS1) is registered as present in the vicinity of the detecting unit (HBS1) upon receipt of said at least one occurrence of the identity information (ID1).
La présente invention concerne une méthode et un dispositif, utilisables dans un système de radiocommunications (SYS1), qui permettent de déterminer la présence d'une station mobile (MS1) dans une zone déterminée (101). Un premier canal radio (DTC1) est affecté à la communication d'informations de commande et de données utilisateur entre la station mobile (MS1) et une première station de base (BS1). La station mobile (MS1) émet de façon répétée des informations d'identité (ID1) sur le premier canal radio (DTC1). Une unité de détection (HBS1) reçoit au moins une occurrence de l'information d'identité (ID1). La station mobile (MS1) est enregistrée comme présente à proximité de l'unité de détection (HBS1) sur réception d'au moins une occurrence d'information d'identité (ID1).
