The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for respiratory support for a patient and an airway prosthesis. The spontaneous breathing of a patient is recorded with sensors and an additional amount of oxygen administered by means of a jet gas flow at the end of a lung inhalation process. Oxygen uptake on inhalation is thus improved. Where necessary the exhalation process of the patient can be retarded by a counter-current to prevent a collapse of the airways. The above manner of proceeding is achieved by means of an arrangement, comprising an oxygen pump (1) connected to an oxygen source and an airway prosthesis (2, 3), which may be connected by means of a catheter (5). The spontaneous breathing of the patient is recorded by means of sensors (8, 9), connected to a controller (12), for activating the oxygen pump. The airway prosthesis has a tubular nozzle body (6) with a connector (37) for the catheter, whereby two of the sensors are provided on the nozzle body. The airway prosthesis and the integrated or introduced jet catheter are of such a size that the patient may breathe and speak freely.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un ensemble permettant l'assistance respiratoire d'un patient ainsi qu'une prothèse trachéale. Selon la présente invention, la respiration spontanée d'un patient est enregistrée par des capteurs et une quantité d'oxygène supplémentaire est administrée au moyen d'un jet gazeux à la fin d'un processus d'inspiration du poumon. Ainsi, la consommation d'oxygène lors de l'inspiration est améliorée. Si nécessaire, le processus d'expiration du patient peut être freiné par un courant opposé, afin d'éviter un collapsus des voies respiratoires. Cette procédure est mise en oeuvre au moyen d'un ensemble qui comprend une pompe à oxygène, pouvant être raccordée à une source d'oxygène, et une prothèse trachéale, pouvant être reliée par l'intermédiaire d'un cathéter. La respiration spontanée du patient est enregistrée par l'intermédiaire de capteurs reliés à une unité de commande servant à activer la pompe à oxygène. La prothèse trachéale présente un corps support tubulaire pourvu d'un raccord pour le cathéter, deux des capteurs étant associés au corps support. Cette prothèse trachéale et le cathéter à jet, intégré ou insérable, présentent une dimension telle que le patient peut respirer et parler librement.
