A method and an arrangement for supplying air to a fluidized bed boiler. In the method, air is supplied from all the corners of the fluidized bed boiler (1) substantially parallel to two opposite walls (14a, 14b) and from the middle of said walls (14a, 14b) toward the center of the fluidized bed boiler (1), whereby the air flows cause the formation of four vortexes in the fluidized bed boiler. The arrangement comprises nozzles that blow air jets towards each other parallel to the opposite walls (14a, 14b) of the fluidized bed boiler (1), and nozzles in the middle of the walls (14a, 14b), arranged to blow air toward the centre of the fluidized bed boiler (1).

L'invention porte sur un procédé et un dispositif de fourniture d'air à une chaudière à lit fluidisé consistant à alimenter la chaudière (1) en air par tous ses coins sensiblement parallèlement aux deux parois opposées (14a, 14b), et par le milieu desdites parois (14a, 14b), en direction du centre de la chaudière (1) les flux d'air entraînant la formation de quatre tourbillons dans la chaudière. Le dispositif comporte des buses projetant des jets d'air les uns contre les autres parallèlement aux parois opposées (14a, 14b) de la chaudière (1), et des buses placées au centre des parois (14a, 14b) disposées de manière à insuffler l'air vers le centre de la chaudière (1).
