A method and an arrangement for supplying air to a recovery boiler. In the method, the air is supplied to the recovery boiler at at least one air supply level so that four vortexes are formed therein, the vortexes spinning, in pairs, in opposite directions so that the adjacent vortexes always spin in opposite directions. The arrangement comprises nozzles that are arranged to blow air so that four vortexes are formed in the recovery boiler, the adjacent vortexes always spinning in opposite directions.
L'invention porte sur un procédé permettant d'alimenter en air une chaudière de récupération ainsi que sur le dispositif correspondant. Dans le cadre de ce procédé, l'air est introduit dans la chaudière de récupération à au moins un niveau d'approvisionnement tel qu'il se forme quatre tourbillons dans la chaudière, la rotation, par paires, de ces tourbillons s'effectuant dans des directions opposées et de manière que des tourbillons adjacents tournent toujours dans des directions opposées. Le dispositif est pourvu de tuyères agencées de manière que l'air soufflé constitue quatre tourbillons dans la chaudière de récupération, lesdits tourbillons tournant toujours dans des directions opposées.
