Two data signals (DSl, DS2) are subjected to a binary differential phase modulation and transmitted as POLMUX multiplex signals (PMS). The types of modulation are selected in such a way that they are orthogonal in relation to each other and do not influence each other during the demodulation of the signals. There is thus no need to regulate the polarisation on the receiving side.

Deux signaux de données (DS1, DS2) sont soumis à une modulation de phase différentielle binaire et transmis en tant que signaux de multiplexage (POLMUX) (PMS).
