In order to increase the power of an induction heating device (L) or in order to avoid system reactions when driving the latter, either the pulse widths (G1, G2) of the two switching means (T1, T2) can be made unsymmetrical in the case of half-bridge driving up to the half-point of a half-cycle. Alternatively, a dead time (H1, H2) between the pulse width (G1, G2) can be extended. This advantageously takes place without interruption and continuously. In the course of a half-cycle, the power is thus reduced given an unaltered operating frequency and an inductor current (IL) has virtually an ideal sine-wave form.

Pour augmenter la puissance d'un dispositif (L) de chauffage par induction ou pour éviter les contre-réactions sur le réseau lors de l'excitation de celui-ci, il est prévu selon l'invention, dans le cas d'une excitation en demi-pont, soit de rendre les largeurs (G1, G2) d'impulsions des deux moyens (T1, T2) de commutation asymétriques jusqu'à la demi-période d'une demi-onde, soit de prolonger un temps (H1, H2) morts entre les largeurs (G1, G2) d'impulsions. Cette opération est avantageusement réalisée graduellement et en continu. La puissance est ainsi réduite au cours d'une demi-onde sans modifier la fréquence de fonctionnement et un courant (IL) d'inducteur présente une forme sinusoïdale quasiment parfaite.
