A method and an arrangement for utilizing energy of an apparatus for drying a fibre web. The drying apparatus comprises two endless bands (1, 2) that are impermeable to air and that have a good thermal conductivity. A fibre web (5) runs between the bands (1, 2) with at least one felt or wire (3, 4). The metal band in contact with the fibre web (5) is heated with a pressure chamber (9) containing a pressure medium that is steam. Correspondingly, the metal band in contact with the felt or wire (3, 4) is cooled. The pressure chamber (9) is sealed against the first band (1) with a seal (9a). In association with the pressure chamber (9) there is a steam recovery chamber (18), where steam and condensate that escape from between the seal (9a) and the first band (1) can be recovered. The steam recovered from the steam recovery chamber (18) is supplied for further use with a means according to the arrangement.
L'invention porte sur un procédé et un dispositif utilisant l'énergie d'un appareil pour le séchage d'une nappe de fibres. Ledit appareil comporte deux bandes sans fin (1, 2) imperméables à l'air et d'une bonne conductivité thermique. La nappe de fibres (5) se déplace entre les bandes (1, 2) avec au moins un feutre ou une toile (3, 4). La bande métallique en contact avec la nappe de fibres est chauffée par une chambre sous pression (9) contenant un milieu sous pression, c.-à-d. de la vapeur. Parallèlement, la bande métallique en contact avec le feutre ou la toile (3, 4) est refroidie. La chambre sous pression (9) est mise en contact hermétique avec la première bande (1) au moyen d'un joint (9a). Associée à la chambre sous pression (9) se trouve une chambre de récupération de vapeur (18) où l'on peut recueillir la vapeur et le condensat s'échappant entre le joint (9a) et la première bande (1). La vapeur ainsi récupérée dans la chambre (18) sert à une nouvelle utilisation dans un moyen prévu dans le système.
