The invention is essentially characterised in that only the routers of mobile anchor points rather than all of the routers in a network, as was previously the case, have to modify the hop number (HOPS) of the mobile anchor points (MAPs); and in that the hops are calculated from the hop limit (HOPLIMIT) and the respective hop numbers in the respective mobile node.
