Disclosed is a method for storing and distributing various articles, according to which the objects are stored on the trays of a rack structure. A suitable extraction system driven by a control and command system is movable in front of said rack structure in such a way that said extraction system is aligned in front of the bay of a tray (O2) carrying the stock of articles corresponding to the selected object so as to remove at least one of said articles. Objects or articles (11) having the same reference are stored adjacent to each other on the upper side (13a) of one or several freely moving continuous conveyor belts (13), said conveyor belt(s) forming the receiving surface for one of the different bays of a storage tray. Said conveyor belts (13) are selectively motorized, causing the articles carried by said conveyor belts (13) to be moved in the direction of a point of removal. Said selective motorization is obtained by operating moving wheels (23) mounted on a mobile extractor (3), which is movable in front of said storage rack and transports the conveyor belt(s) (13) of the bay holding the selected or ordered articles by means of friction in such a way that at least the first one of said articles is transferred to a receiving surface of said extractor.
Procédé de stockage et de distribution d'articles divers, suivant lequel les objets sont stockés sur les plateaux d'un ensemble de rayonnages devant lesquels se déplace un système d'extraction approprié piloté par un système de contrôle et de commande, de sorte à venir se positionner devant la travée d'un plateau (02) supportant le stock d'articles correspondant à l'objet choisi, pour prélever au moins l'un de ces articles, caractérisé en ce que les objets ou articles (11) d'une même référence sont stockés les uns à la suite des autres, sur le brin supérieur (13a) d'une ou plusieurs bandes de transport sans fin (13) montées folles, cette ou ces bandes de transport constituant la surface réceptrice de l'une des différentes travées d'un rayonnage de stockage, et en ce que la motorisation sélective des bandes de transport (13) entraînant le déplacement des articles qu'elles supportent en direction d'un point de prélèvement, est obtenue par l'application de galets moteurs (23) montés sur un extracteur mobile (3) se déplaçant devant ledit rayonnage de stockage, et entraînant par friction la ou les bandes de transport (13) de la travée supportant les articles choisis ou commandés, de sorte à permettre le transfert d'au moins le premier de ces articles sur une surface réceptrice dudit extracteur.
