Abstract of Disclosure Compositions for and methods of acidizing or fracture- acidizing of a subterranean formation. The compositions consists essentially of water, an acid, and a copolymer of about 5 to about 60 percent by weight acrylamide and the remainder selected from the group consisting of dialkylamino- ethylmethacrylate, trialkylaminoethylmethacrylate quaternary salts and acrylamido alkane sulfonic acid.
