ABSTRACT A composition is provided which inhibits the corrosion of ferrous metals in acidic environments, especially in the presence of H2S. The corrosion inhibitor composition comprises (A) the product of reacting cyclohexylamine with formaldehyde or paraformaldehyde, and acetophenone, and (B) a combination of a C3 to C10 acetylenic alcohol and unreacted formaldehyde present in an amount of at least 4% of the composition. The composition may optionally include a C1 to C20 aliphatic carboxylic acid.
