METHOD AND COMPOSITION FOR MAINTAINING AND REPAIRING ASPHALT- AND RUBBER-CONTAINING SURFACES Abstract of Disclosure A surfacing and sealing composition that comprises an aqueous base emulsion containing a base material of asphalt, rubber, or acrylic copolymer, or a mixture of such materials, and an emulsifying agent that can be non-ionic, anionic, or cationic or a mixture of such types of agents, with a water- soluble polymeric material that has thickening and binding properties and that is compatible with the emulsion. A method for improving such aqueous base emulsions is also disclosed.
