Bacillus strains that inhibit pathogenic swine E. coli and /or improve performance are provided. Inhibition of pathogenic swine E. coli decreases E. coli disease. At least one strain enhanced swine performance by improving average daily gain, feed efficiency, and feed intake. Preferred Bacillus strains are of species that are included on the GRAS list. Bacillus species are sporeformers and therefore are highly stable and can be fed to swine.
L'invention concerne des souches de Bacillus qui inhibent E.coli pathogène du porc et/ou améliorent l'efficacité. L'inhibition de E.coli pathogène du porc réduit la maladie à E. coli. Au moins une souche renforce l'efficacité du porc par amélioration du gain quotidien moyen, de l'efficacité des aliments, et de la prise alimentaire. Les souches de Bacillus préférées appartiennent aux espèces faisant partie de la liste GRAS. L'espèce Bacillus, sporulante, est donc particulièrement stable et peut être fournie aux porcs.
